Go Native in breezy airconditioned beach houses and fan-cooled pavilions on closest and prettiest beach to Coron-Busuanga Airport, Palawan, Philippines. SandCastles occupies 10-hectares on beach and forested headland, surrounded by paddle-perfect islands, with coral reefs aplenty.
SandCastles isn’t your typical tropical beach resort. It’s quite unique.
Food is expedition cuisine, the fare Tribal Adventures‘ participants enjoy on our cruise-kayak-camp expeditions through the Calamianes and El Nido. Fresh, local & natural, food’s prepared in our unique kawa kitchen. Or, you can grab or catch your own fish and cook it on the guest barbecue; there’s no charge.
Fresh, spring water-fed plunge pools are a feature of all but the two backpacker native pavilions; backpackers though still have access to the plunge pool at the bar!
All the rooms open up to the tropical breeze, with the beach houses featuring romantic mosquito net canopies when airconditioning’s not your thing.
And, there’s sea kayaks aplenty–ONE FOR EACH GUEST FREE OF CHARGE FOR THE DURATION OF THEIR STAY IN 2020 AND 2021 as we hunger for more personal space to exercise our limbs made lame by the Covid lockdowns.
SandCastles is the Palawan base for Tribal Adventures, offering guided trips to Calauit Wildlife Park; Sinibayan Waterfalls; biking tours across the forested breadth of Busuanga; snorkeling outings with dugong; sea kayaking and beach camping multi-day expeditions; daytrips to Coron & Culion.
Dugong Dive Center has an outlet at SandCastles, launchpad for Apo Reef day trips.
Private van and 4×4 airport and Coron town transfers available.
